G’day mate,

I saw another blogger do this awhile ago and I thought I’d give it a try. So thank you to whichever blogger inspired me and I’m sorry that I don’t remember who you are. Anyway lets get right into the 18 lessons I learnt in 18 years.

1.Sharing is caring (curtesy of the care bears).

2.Embrace your sense of humour and you’ll find other people who have the same humour as you do. Then you can laugh together when a child falls over and you won’t feel so guilty.

3.The best lessons are often learnt through bad experiences.

4.Don’t be too hard on yourself, after all you’re only human.

5.Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. If what is happening to you feels wrong then it is.

6.You can’t make everyone happy so don’t try.

7.You’ll have a happier life if you practice being a happy and grateful person. When you are unhappy with the world, pull your focus inward to yourself and work on how you can be happy in an unhappy world.

8.Don’t negatively comment on others’ appearance if they can’t fix what is wrong in under 10 seconds. Otherwise just STFU!

9.Sometimes you just have to throw your hair up in a bun, put on some rap music and keep hustling.

10.Rumors are spread by idiots and believed by even more uneducated idiots. So don’t waste your time with gossip, none of it’s true anyway.

11.You can love someone with all your heart but it doesn’t mean they will feel the same. Part of life is letting go of the things and people you can’t change.

12.Somethings are just meant to be but don’t fear being trapped in a certain situation because change will always be constant.

13.You can’t find true confidence from any outside source, it has to come from within.

14.Your flaws are apart of who you are, they make you unique. Anyway, who governs what is considered attractive and unattractive? At the end of the day your opinion of yourself is the only one that matters.

15.Forgiving others will help you more than it will help them. Hatred is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

16.Never let others’ opinions determine your own self-worth.

17.Live and let go. Don’t take life too seriously because none of us make it out alive anyway.

18.Sometimes in life you will hit a wall, this wall will seem impossible to overcome, it will make you feel hopeless, useless and weak. It will last for so long that you forget how to be happy. If getting out of bed and breathing is the only thing you can do for that day, then that’s good enough because at least you’re doing your best. If you’ve hit rock bottom then the only other way is up.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy. If you decide to give this type of post a try please tag me so I can see what you have learnt in the years you have lived.

What’s one life lesson you have learnt?

  1. love this : u can’t find true confidence from any outside source, it has to come from within.. One of the best pieces of advice I got was to be who you were created to be. It’s so easy to be wrapped up in what others are doing or care what others think of you, but in the long run it’s never worth it.
